iFloat Ministries is a Christian 501(c)(3) disaster relief and recovery ministry with a heart for walking alongside families when disaster turns their lives upside down.
We’re so glad you’re here. Our names are Lester and Shelby Wilson. We have been married for 32 years and have 7 children. We are ordained ministers in the Church of God and we have served in various capacities of ministry for 30 years.
Our ministry is rooted in the promise of Isaiah 43:2:
“When you walk through the flood I am with you. And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched and the flame will not consume you. “
We believe disaster relief is about more than meeting an immediate need. It’s about staying when the emergency crews leave, helping families rebuild, and reminding people that they are not alone.
We began by serving in our local community, throughout the state of Georgia and eventually in Western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene devastated multiple communities in the fall of 2024.
Right now, much of our work is focused on families affected by the Highway 82 wildfires in Brantley County, Georgia. Our work includes debris removal, restoring utilities, repairing wells and septic systems, preparing home sites, securing and repairing donated mobile homes, connecting families with resources, and providing long-term case management as they work toward permanent housing.
But at the heart of everything we do is JESUS!
We want to be His hands and feet, showing up in difficult places, loving people well, meeting practical needs, and bringing hope in the middle of loss.
On this page, we’ll share updates from the field, current needs, volunteer opportunities, ways to give, prayer requests, and most importantly the stories of what God is doing through people coming together to serve.
